8:45 - 9:30 - NetClassroom - What is NetClassroom?
Aside from SJR Learners - Google Apps for Education, SJR's Education Cloud - is also composed of FAWeb (Faculty Access for the Web), NetClassroom, the School's Website, and related records systems. What does that mean for me as a classroom teacher?

9:30 - 10:15 - SJR Learners - Google Apps for Education Session - an overview and practice time of some of the tools available for your teaching and classroom work.

Specific topics to be addressed in this session:
  • Creating surveys
  • Presentations - new features when using Chrome
  • Calendar Feature
  • Aviary - Photo Tool in Learners
  • Class Groups - Jeff and Phil have to setup
  • Document Organization - filter, search, store, organize
  • email organization suggestions

  • 101 Free Tech Tools - please select the first link in the download section of this link. I also have a copy that can fit on a USB key.
  • 5 Web Tools Video - 20 minute video featuring 5 wonderful tools, including Wordle (Word Clouds)
  • 30 Tools in 50 Minutes Webinar - Good overview of some great web tools - start at about the 5 minute mark to pass the introductions. The focus is not the tool, how these tools can spice things up.

Education Technology Tools - how to resources and time to help you harness Educational Technology (Ed Tech) tools in your teaching:

  • Video Making - Process of recording, downloading, and creating a short video. Session to be held in the Middle School Computer Lab - Morning Session Only

  • SMART Board New Users - Just curious about what how it works and how it could be used in my classroom Session to be held in Roland Buduhan's Lab - Resource Site - This Session will take place in the morning only **

  • SMART Board User Sharing Group - Intermediate level (you have been using a SMART Board for at least a year)
    • Chance for teachers to share their learning with each other. Location TBA

  • iPads in Education - A Game Changer? Session being held in Library Hands on session - the primary audience is for Senior School faculty, but Middle school teachers are welcome. There will be a repeat session in the afternoon - only Senior School as Middle School faculty have different PD options in the afternoon.

Video tutorials have been created by a variety of people to assist you with use of new emerging Internet technologies. The tutorials have been divided into specific software applications. The software is for personal or class use.
