Authenticity and ICT: Breaking Down the Walls of the Classroom. In this session, we will explore how to create authentic learning opportunities for our learners through virtual experiences which allow them to actually interact with the larger community in meaningful ways. Through a variety of platforms, participants will look at how technology can allow teachers the time and space to foster experiences whereby students receive feedback from elders, peers, and experts in an effort to push their understanding of the world in rigorous and transformative ways. This session will look closely at the relationship between teaching as technology, or method, and teaching and learning for cognitive dissonance. Room 212
